Licenses
Our Flexible Licensing System
NeoLoad uses two types of license:
- Standard License: Each license allows NeoLoad to be installed and used on a single machine.
- Floating License: Each license allows NeoLoad to be installed on several machines and used on a single machine at a time.
Licenses are divided into two user groups:
- End User License: Used by end users for their own needs.
- Service Provider License: Used by companies that provide testing services for their clients.
The cost of a license depends on:
- the maximum number of simultaneous virtual users required;
- the optional modules included (monitoring modules, SOAP module, Flex module, Oracle Forms module etc.)
The load generators are provided free of charge and may be installed on as many machines as required
to simulate the desired number of users, within the limits of the license conditions.
Licenses are available in two different versions:
- Permanent, or leased on a weekly or monthly basis, for end users.
- Leased, on a weekly, monthly or yearly basis, for service providers.
All the rates are shown in our price list.
End User Licenses
The End User License is aimed at users who:
- Install NeoLoad on machines that they either own or lease, at a site which they either own or operate.
- Only use the product to process their own data for internal use.
The End User License is available in both permanent and
leased versions. Please refer to the
price list for more details.
Service Provider Licenses
The Service Provider License is aimed at users who:
- Install NeoLoad on machines they own, or that are leased by their own clients, at a single site at a time.
- Only use the product to process data for, and for the internal use of, their own clients at a site either owned or operated by them or by those clients.
The Service Provider License is available on weekly, monthly or annual leases.

Floating Licenses
A floating license is installed on a Neotys License Server, which can be run on any machine on the network.
The floating license(s) is(are) installed on the Neotys License Server by the NeoLoad License supervisor.
Each NeoLoad controller with access to the Neotys License Server may reserve a license, making it unavailable to the other users.
After use, the license key is made available again.
NeoLoad’s floating license makes it possible to share a single NeoLoad Contoller license among several machines. Important: Only 1 machine can run a test at any one time. The license manager allows the reservation and release of a floating license.
License key management is centralized on the Neotys License Server in order to avoid losing any keys
and to make their updating easier.
